First City Monument Bank (FCMB), Mr Olisa Nwokobi shot himself in
Lagos,sources revealed that the 44-year- old bank manager and graduate
of Abia State University, killed himself because he was under pressure
from his bank over a huge loan he was allegedly owing.
Nwokobi had reportedly gone to his priest last Friday at Our Lady
Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Northern Foresore Estate, Lekki, Lagos
and complained bitterly on how he approved a loan for a customer who had
refused to service the loan.
It was alleged that he had told the priest that he would not stand
the shame and disgrace of being dragged up and down by the Economic and
Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).
A source at the church said: “He told our father to help him beg his
wife and his 10-year-old daughter to forgive him. As the priest was
trying to advice him, he brought out a pistol and shot himself. He died
instantly.

The actress and producer on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, announced her reality series “Keeping up with Toyin Aimakhu”, inspired by Kim Kardashian.
Now, Toyin has just announced plans to launch her own line of emojis called Teemoji, a move pioneered by Kim Kardashian in late 2015.

Protest, Anger Trail Mass Sack At OAGF
No fewer than 71 accounting Officers, employees of the Office of the
Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF),who were recently disengaged
by the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), have petitioned, Alhaji
Ahmed Idris, Accountant General of the Federation, (AGF) and Joan Ayo,
Chairman the FCSC, over what they termed unjust termination of
appointment.
They alleged that for no just cause, the appointment letters they were offered in 2014 after undergoing interview, screening and documentation, were suddenly withdrawn in 2016 without cogent reasons.
They averred that their engagement followed laid down civil service rules and regulations and therefore were at loss of what led to the termination of their appointment after waiting for two years to be posted to offices across the country.

Ramadan Disaster! Scores Killed In Stampede At Tinubu’s Gift Presentation
As unusual as it was, the gesture of APC chieftain and former
Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to reach out to the masses
during the festive period of ramadan turned ugly this year as people
died and many were injured at the venue of the presentation of gifts and
materials in Lagos.
The Onikan stadium, Lagos venue of the Bola Tinubu’s Foundation of free gifts turned to a slaughter slab as a stampede occurred where two were feared killed while many sustained serious injuries.
The main victims were women and the children who were trampled upon by the mammoth crowd that gathered to benefit from the freebies.

Ekiti People Rally For Anti Corruption, Throw Weight Behind Probe Of Gov Ayo Fayose
Hundreds of Ekiti State Indigenes rallied on Monday in support of the
Federal Government’s anti-corruption war, insisting that governor
Ayodele Fayose must be made to face the law, if found guilty of fraud.
Shortly after the governor’s case against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the Federal High Court, Ado Ekiti on Monday, a group of placard-carrying youths staged a protest few meters to the court declaring their support for the anti-corruption crusade of President Muhammadu Buhari and the EFCC crackdown on Fayose and his associates.
The protesters carried various placards, some of which read: Some of their placards read: “Buhari, We Support You”, “Fayose Must Not Escape Justice”, “We Say No To Dasukigate”, “EFCC We Support You”, “No Immunity for Impunity”, “Let Us Kill Corruption Before It Kills Us”, “No Absolute Immunity for Corrupt Governors”, “Fayose Can’t Be Above The Law”, “Fayose Must Be Investigated”.
