When kings grace occasions, they do so with their wives. It is believed, especially in Africa, that a king’s respect is incomplete when not flanked by his wife, and it is even more honorable for royalty to have them in their numbers.
But ever since Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, has been paying homages to other kings and other important personalities in the country, he has always been seen alone, which is so unusual of a high profile king.
