How Abba Kyari, Buhari’s Chief Of Staff, Abuses His Office For Personal Gain

SaharaReporters has obtained a letter which reveals how Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff (COS) to President Muhammadu Buhari, is using his office in the presidency to further his personal businesses and contradict his boss’s so-called anti-corruption initiative.
The letter shows Mr. Kyari prospecting on behalf of Valiant Offshore Contractors Limited, a private business that is being fronted by the major owner of SeaWolf Oilfield Services Limited the single biggest debtor of the Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON).
Seawolf Limited owes First Bank of Nigeria about N160billion, as a result of which two oil rigs owned by the company have since been seized by AMCON and parked at the Lagos Marina.
Nonetheless, COS Kyari went ahead to show his hand in refining the company as a Special Purpose vehicle to immediately commence business with the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) where he is a board member.

Crisis in Ondo APC as members “impeach” chairman over “Tinubu’s endorsement of candidate”

The All Progressives Congress in Ondo State on Tuesday erupted in a crisis with some members claiming they have impeached the chairman, Isaacs Kekemeke, for his involvement in the endorsement of an aspirant ahead of the governorship primaries slated for August 27.
The group forcefully took over the state secretariat along Oyemekun Road, shutting the gates against Mr. Kekemeke and his allies.
They also announced the appointment of Saka Ogunleye as their new chairman.
At the time journalists visited the secretariat, the members were waiving placards, protesting the rumoured endorsement of one of the aspirants, Olusegun Abraham, by the national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu.

Aiteo Group MD, Benny Peters Declared Wanted By EFCC *Why Oil Mogul Is On The Run



The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has declared billionaire businessman and Managing Director of Aiteo Group, Mr. Benedict Peters, wanted for his alleged role in the $115m (N23bn) bribe given to officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission by a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, during the build-up to the 2015 election.
The EFCC said in an official gazette signed by its spokesman, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, that Peters was wanted for criminal conspiracy, diversion of funds and money laundering.

First Bank, FCMB, Heritage Bank Fingered In Alleged N11.23bn Fraud Uncovered At NPA

The new management of the Nigerian Ports Authority has uncovered fraud totalling N11.23 billion at the agency, as revealed by the officials in the know.
The officials said the Managing Director, Hadiza Bala Usman, and her executive directors have since their assumption of duties on July 18 been poring through the books of the maritime agency.
So far, this newspaper learnt, a series of transactions suspected to be fraudulent and amounting to N11.23billion have been uncovered.
Of the amount, $24.1million (N7.47billion at N310 per dollar) was traced to Heritage Bank, the successor bank to the defunct Societe Generale Bank owned by the Saraki family.
Insiders said the funds were collected by the bank as revenue for NPA, but that the financial house, in collusion with some officials of the maritime agency, failed to move it into NPA’s Treasury Single Account with the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Zenith Bank is Most Customer-Focused Bank – KPMG

Zenith Bank Plc has again been ratedNigeria’s most customer-focused bank by the leading Advisory and Consultancy firm, KPMG.
In the 2016 edition of the annual banking industry Customer Satisfaction Survey recently released, Zenith topped other Nigerian banksin the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) with a total of 74.6 pointsto clinch the prime positionin the retail banking category; thereby re-enacting the feat it achieved in 2013 and 2014.Guaranty Trust Bank came second with 74.1 points closely followed by Diamond Bank and Stanbic IBTC with 73.5 and 73.1 points respectively.
