Controversy:Lai Mohammed Obtains N13m From Nbc To Travel To China

SaharaReporters has obtained a letter written on behalf of the Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed to the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) requesting a loan of N13,120,470.

The letter, authored by the Director of Public Relations and Protocol, NPD Dama, begins by stating “I am directed to inform you [NBC] that the Honourable Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed is proceeding on official assignment to China on Sunday, 15th May 2016.

EFCC Storms Fani-Kayode’s House, Arrests Domestic Worker

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Thursday stormed the Abuja home of a former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, and arrested a domestic servant.
It was learnt that the operatives stormed the house located at 5 Zuma Close, Aso Drive, Abuja in the afternoon and searched the compound.
However, the detectives could not gain access to the main building as it was said to have been locked.

FIRS Seals Jimoh Ibrahim NICON Hotel And NICON Insurance Plc Over N6.2bn Tax Evasion

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), yesterday, sealed off the head offices of Nicon Insurance Plc and Nicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja as well as other businesses owned by Jimoh Ibrahim over tax liability in excess of N6.2 billion.
The FIRS enforcement team stormed NICON Insurance plaza located at the Central Business District, Abuja and Nicon Luxury Apartment at about 12 noon.
When the team visited NICON Insurance plaza, the workers were asked to leave the premises before the gate was shut.
